This British Racing Motors (BRM) P180 show car was in use for the 1972 season - The 23rd FIA Formula One season. Notable for the BRM team in this year was their new partnership with Marlboro which saw the launch of the new white and red livery. Cigarette sponsorship was big business in F1 at this time, with John Player Special sponsoring the Lotus team.
BRM took the largest team into the 1972 F1 season with their fleet of 8 drivers; Howden Ganley, Reine Wisell, Peter Gethin, Alex Soler-Roig, Helmut Marko, Jean-Pierre Beltoise, Jackie Oliver, Bill Brack
Beltoise took his one and only F1 win, and the last win for the BRM team at a rainy Monaco GP.
The show car is in great condition; having been displayed in a museum since its retirement from the team. There is no engine in the car and it is purely for display purposes - but what an awesome display piece!
